Job Title: Senior Database Administrator  

 

Job Duties:  NetLook, Inc., in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to oversee web application support to ensure performance, availability and security. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of subject matter concepts to perform the following duties:

• Oversee web application support to ensure performance, availability, and security.

• Oversee the installation and coordination of database software and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment.

• Monitor systems to ensure a secure environment with minimal downtime.

• Troubleshoot problems and recommends solutions by actively seeking warning signs within the system.

• Plan and maintain documentation of disaster recovery solutions for entire system.

• Coordinate and oversee the maintenance of the database systems, including system rollouts.

• Application upgrades and database/disk backups to support organizational goals.

• Oversee code deployments, implementation of fixes and updates to the system.

• Lead technical support for business.

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any related field of study, plus at least two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency and knowledge with the following:

1. Database Security Administration

2. Oracle

3. SQL Server

4. SSRS and SSAS

5. Two of the following: Windows, UNIX, or Linux

• No travel or telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of each project.
